Substrate Heating is an exciting feature of the properly equipped aquatic garden. Like Carbon Dioxide Injection which offers multiple benefits, Substrate Heating not only provides essential warmth for a tropical eco-system but helps cleanse the gravel.
Furthermore, Substrate Heating targets the root system providing stimulation and protection. Thus, with a thick mat of plump, healthy white roots the plants more effectively take up nutrients and in turn contribute to a more purified water quality.
Standard Heaters
We also carry a large range of the traditional aquarium tube type heaters all with warranty and fully submersible, available in both glass and stainless steel. Brands include Jager, Aqua One, Fluval & Weipro.
Heaters are available in 100, 150, 200 & 300watts, thus allowing you to heat a range of different water volumes. In very large aquariums we recommend two or more heaters. This helps take the load off one heater and gives you a back up in the unlikely event of a heater malfunction.
